Retreat to Nature camp-over

The original hut ‘Gebetan Sefa’ (to remedy the heart, in old English) is the place for preparing food, ideal for enjoying your meals and resting, we call it the cook-house. Lots of space for your camping gear, there is a small fridge and gas stoves. Our second hut ‘Haelan Hleo’ (healing shelter), this is the main sleeping cabin with a double bed, the bunkhouse. If you request, there is a single low camp-bed that can go in this hut so two friends can stay without sharing the double bed. The blue cabin, Kyree ( calm and peaceful meaning in old Nordic language) offers a tranquil space, ideal for sound-healing sessions. It’s also got wide spacious windows so you can watch the wildlife and our animals all day long, read a good book or free yourself in mind, body and spirit with meditation.

Book a long weekend and enjoy this opportunity to take a break from busy lives and completely immerse yourself in peace and relaxation in nature. You will be the only guests here. My family and I will be managing the ponies, sheep and maintenance tasks with respectful discretion but are happy to chat so please come and say hello.

Warm yourself in the evenings by the firepit outside and enjoy this worthwhile time for your wellbeing and nurture in nature. Sun-rise is breath-taking and spectacular behind the retreat and the sun sets to the front. Longer walks are easily taken to the next village of Sandford Orcas to a village Pub. Dove Retreat is situated in open paddocks, with natural hedges surrounding it. Catch glimpses of rabbits, foxes, badgers, frogs and roe deer, who all live around us. Enjoy this precious time in the wild and embrace all that the weather offers us, the necessary elements of the seasons, for which we show gratitude as the seasons change.
